Collect diagnostics

Open General settings

Settings ▸ General ▸ Diagnostics has two buttons. Reveal diagnostics opens the diagnostics folder in Finder. Export diagnostics… asks where to save one plain-text file named Saggar-diagnostics-<timestamp>.txt. The same export button sits on the crash recovery screen. There is no CLI command for it.

What the export contains​

  • App version and build, macOS version, installed agent CLI versions, processor count, and system uptime.
  • The current log (log.jsonl) and the previous one (log.1.jsonl).
  • The last three of Saggar's own crash-*.log files.
  • The most recent macOS crash report for Saggar.

Your home directory path is replaced with ~ throughout. The export excludes terminal text, commands, account data, and tokens. Review the file before sharing it if your report is sensitive.

Saggar's logs live in ~/Library/Application Support/saggar/diagnostics/log.jsonl, one JSON line per event, rotated to log.1.jsonl at 1 MB.

Automatic crash reports​

Share crash reports automatically, beside the export buttons, sends the app version, coarse Mac details, and sanitized crash stacks when Saggar crashes. It never sends terminal input or output, commands, file paths, environment variables, breadcrumbs, screenshots, traces, or profiles.

When to attach an export​

Attach the file to a private report when the problem involves a crash, a restoration failure, a relay connection, or behavior that can't be reproduced from a short sequence of steps.
