Saggar 0.39.0

Closed the wrong terminal? Press ⌃⌘T to bring it back, with its scrollback and conversation. And ⌘← and ⌘→ now move back and forward through the sessions you've visited.

New

Reopen the last closed session

Press ⌃⌘T, or choose it from the Sessions menu or the command palette. The session comes back with its name, directory, scrollback, and the conversation to resume. Press it again to reopen earlier ones, up to the last ten. Change the shortcut in Settings ▸ Keyboard shortcuts.

Go back and forward between sessions

⌘← returns to the session you were just on, and ⌘→ goes forward again. Closed sessions are skipped, and text fields keep ⌘← and ⌘→ for the start and end of a line.

Kimi Code

Kimi Code is now a provider. Saggar launches and recognizes it, continues the folder's latest Kimi conversation on restore, answers its folder-trust prompt for projects you've added, and warns before a --yolo, --auto, or -y launch.

Keep a command in view while you scroll its output

Scroll back through a long command's output and the command stays pinned in a small header above it, so you always know what you're reading. It gets out of the way at the live bottom and in full-screen apps.

Copy the last command and its output

Preview and copy the last command you ran, with its output and exit status, as Markdown, plain text, or formatted HTML. Secrets Saggar spots are hidden by default.

Schedule a task to run once

Pick Once in the schedule form and choose a date and time. The task runs at that minute and then deletes itself. Tasks can also run only while your Mac is unlocked, and link to a global command so they follow your edits to it.

Talk to Claude Code in a Saggar terminal

Claude Code's hold-space voice mode now records instead of typing spaces. macOS asks for microphone access once.

Updated

Knowing when you're needed

  • Approvals Saggar intercepts stay on screen until you answer them, even when the agent carries on with something else. Reopen a dismissed one from the session menu.
  • Approving a command while the agent is still working tells the agent, instead of being refused.
  • Claude's on-screen questions stay Needs you without hooks, and multi-select questions work from the card.
  • Phone alerts in When away mode wait for five minutes without keyboard or mouse input. Locking the screen still sends them straight away.

A calmer launch queue

  • The main checkout and each worktree have their own queues, sharing up to seven active sessions per project. Idle terminals, monitors, and dev servers don't take a slot.
  • New terminals for a project start on Queue, so they wait for that checkout's running work unless you choose Now.
  • A queued agent waiting out a rate limit no longer holds up the work behind it.
  • Queued prompts and launches no longer start together in the same checkout.

Compacting

  • Compacting a Claude session interrupts the turn and runs /compact as soon as Claude stops.
  • Codex compaction waits for the current turn, so active goals aren't cut short. The context card shows it's queued.

Pi

  • Pi has its own logo, and restores rejoin the exact conversation from Pi 0.78.
  • Pi's thinking levels, from off to max, appear wherever Saggar offers an effort.
  • Turbo and Intercept hold changes to Pi's extensions and settings, and pi --approve launches.
  • Pi reads Finished only once it's settled, and its own dialogs read Needs you.
  • Saggar finds Pi installed from npm under its new package name, and follows PI_CODING_AGENT_DIR.

Codex

  • Model lists come from the installed Codex CLI, keep newer models when an older client rewrites its cache, and no longer offer retired models offline.
  • The context editor finds Codex's instruction overrides and nested AGENTS.md chains.
  • Sessions started with a goal are named after the goal.

Staying light with many terminals

  • Saggar bounds terminal output, archives, and caches across sessions, and does less optional work under memory, heat, or low-storage pressure.
  • Restored sessions you haven't opened yet use almost no memory.
  • Less stutter while typing with many terminals open.

And also

  • Enabled providers offer hook installation right on their Settings card.
  • Cloning a repository scrolls its project into view in the Project menu.
  • Terminal panes take keyboard focus back when you select them again.
  • New terminal and new project forms stay open when you click outside them.
  • ⌘⇧E for queueing a prompt now shows in the menu.
  • Press ⌘↩ to create a project.
  • Find remembers its highlight and match count when you reopen it.
  • Scheduled tasks keep firing through the repeated hour when daylight saving ends.
  • Passwords and tokens are hidden more thoroughly before terminal text is sent for AI summaries and titles.
