Install the phone app

The Saggar iPhone app is in public beta, so it comes from Apple's TestFlight app rather than the App Store listing. TestFlight is Apple's own app for installing beta software. It takes a couple of minutes, once.

  1. On your iPhone, install TestFlight from the App Store.
  2. On the same iPhone, open the Saggar beta invite. Opening it on a Mac only shows instructions, so send the link to your phone first if you need to.
  3. TestFlight opens on the Saggar page. Tap Accept, then Install.
  4. Open Saggar from your home screen and sign in with the same Marginal Utility account you use on the Mac.

Then pair it with your Mac.

Updates

New builds arrive through TestFlight, not the App Store. Turn on automatic updates on the Saggar page in TestFlight, or open TestFlight and tap Update when a build is waiting. Apple expires each beta build after 90 days, so an app that stops opening usually needs an update.

If the invite doesn't work

  • "This beta is full" or "not accepting testers." Apple caps public betas. Try again later, or report a problem.
  • The link opens a web page instead of TestFlight. TestFlight isn't installed yet, or the link opened on another device. Install TestFlight on the iPhone and open the link there.
